Take a Look at the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO: Ram’s New Sport Truck

2025 Ram 1500 RHO

With the TRX leaving the Ram lineup, the new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO becomes the sportiest Ram truck model. It doesn’t directly replace the TRX, both its price and power are lower than that truck, but it will soon be at the top of the Ram Sport truck lineup that currently features the Rebel, Warlock, and Power Wagon.

Under the Hood

The Ram 1500 RHO will sport the Stellantis high-output Hurricane engine that makes 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the wheels. Make no mistake, the RHO is fast. It can hit 60 MPH in 4.6 seconds and zoom a quarter mile in 13.1 seconds at 105 MPH.

However, speed isn’t the only selling point of the RHO. Beneath the wheel arches are the same performance shocks used in the TRX. The Bilstein Black Hawk e2 shocks have been retuned for the RHO’s weight, which is lighter than the TRX. The RHO also sits at two inches higher than the rest of the Ram 1500 lineup.

The RHO is equipped with a BorgWarner 48-13 full-time active transfer case with a low range ratio of 2.64:1. The rear axle is a Dana 60 with full-floating shafts, an axle hop damper, and a rear electronic differential. The setup yields up to 14 inches of rear axle travel.

Rugged and Tough Exterior

On the outside, the Ram 1500 RHO presents a rugged appearance. It’s eight inches wider than a regular Ram 1500, mostly due to its oversized composite fender flares. The flares are there to cover 18-inch beadlock wheels and 35-inch tires. The RHO also features a unique hood styling and a grille with a larger flow-through badge.

Other features contributing to the RHO’s tough appearance are LED headlights, steel bumpers, skid plates, oversized tow hooks, and either rock rails or aluminum running boards. The new exhaust system includes dual pipes with five-inch tips.

The RHO is primarily designed for extreme off-road fun, but it’s also capable of towing up to 8,380 pounds and hauling up to 1,520 pounds. It features 11.8 inches of ground clearance and can ford water depths of up to 32 inches.

Handsome and Comfortable Cabin

While the Ram 1500 RHO looks tough and rugged on the outside, the cabin is quite civilized with plenty of tech and comfort features. The front seats are outfitted with leather upholstery and feature functions for heating, ventilation, and massage. The seats are also 12-way adjustable.

You can get as many as three screens in the cabin. The infotainment system comes with a 14.5-inch screen and the digital instrument cluster is displayed on a 12.3-inch screen. The addition of a 10.25-inch screen in front of the passenger completes the final number.

The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO is ready to order with a price tag that starts at $71,990. It will join the Ram’s Sport model lineup in the third quarter of 2024.
