These truck took the stage in Detroit and were easily the largest vehicles on display at this show, giving us more of what we want to see and enjoy when it’stime to have a fantastic large pickup to get the job done. These two large trucks took the show and certainly allow us to know that we have what we want for the future of the workwe need to do.

Qualities You’ll Find in the New 2019 Ram Heavy Duty Pickups

Capability

One of the most important aspects of what you’ll find in these trucks is the power to get things done. The Ram 2500 and 3500 models have leapfrogged the competitor when it comes to towing and hauling to make sure you can pull and carry more of what you need to. These trucks are able to give you up to 35,100 pounds for the towing and haul as much as 7,680 pounds when you load it up.

New Engines

In order to have the capability you want, the new Ram Heavy Duty truck has to offer more under the hood. The new engine at the top of the lineup is a redesigned Cummins 6.7-liter six-cylinder diesel engine that has the ability to produce up to 400 horsepower and 1,000 lb.-ft. of torque. This torque shows up at only 1,800 rpm to give you the ability to have the muscle you need early in the drive. If you want a gasoline engine for the drive, the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine is augmented by cylinder deactivation to offer 410 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque for the power you need when you drive. You’ll be able to choose one of three different transmissions for the power and drive youwant to have with each of the engines being offered with a different transmission for your drive.

A New Foundation

You can’t have more power and capability without a stronger foundation for the drive. The Ram trucks are riding on a frame that’s been completely redesigned and is made from 98.5 percent high-strength steel. This foundation allows the truck to be stronger than in the past and give you a fully boxed setup that will make the drive better. You’ll also feel a bit lighter in this truck with the loss of 143 pounds in the frame alone.

More Refined

Power isn’t everything in a big truck, we expect to find refined engineering and a great ride when we get behind the wheel. Even though the new Ram Heavy Duty trucks can pull a mountain, they also feature smooth-riding rear coil springs that make it possible for this truck to be smooth and impressive on the road. There’s also an available air suspension to give you the ability to automatically level out the truck when carrying a load.

Technology

When you choose the new Ram Heavy Duty models, you’ll be able to enjoy advanced driver assistance technologies including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, a new 360-degree surround view camera, mirror-mounted spotlights, tire pressure monitoring, and a payload camera.
