The FCA team is ready to lean on Ram with some new models that will become part of what we see when its time to hit the roads with capability and purpose.
As the future unfolds for FCA, there are some brands that will be relegated to local markets only while other brands are going to see a serious global expansion. Ram is one of the brands in the second category and it will be offered around the world as a brand that we know we can trust when it’s time to get more work done. Right now, this brand shows off only four levels of vehicles, and the future may only be to expand to a fifth category, but that will be an important expansion as is the fact that Ram will be offered globally.
Not only will we see a new category entered, which was the midsize truck market that we saw the former Dodge Dakota occupy, but we will see some specialty trucks offered as well. The Ram Rebel TRX was teased at the 2016 Texas State Fair with a Hellcat V8 engine under the hood and now it seems this truck will make its way to the market and be part of what we’ll experience when it’s time to head out on the roads and get things done that need to be completed.
Answering the Call and Looking Forward in the Ram Lineup
The Ram Rebel TRX was the answer to the Ford F-150 Raptor to bring you the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that makes 575 horsepower, a coil-link rear suspension, beadlock wheels, widened fender flares, and a racing-inspired cabin. Rumors have mounted that FCA will put this truck into production and the confirmation came when the five-year product presentation plan took place in Italy. This new version of the Ram will be based on the new model while the concept that we saw at the fair was based on the outgoing model.
This new platform that will be used is much fresher and capable of offering us more of what we want when it’s time for a drive. With the Rebel TRX, we’re going to see the addition of high-end off-road shocks, knobby tires, beefed-up fenders, and both front and rear skid plates to give us what we want when it’s time to have a great drive. This incredible truck will be one that can handle the tough drive on the trails and out in the wilderness that will make it easy to have the fun you want when you drive.
The expansion of the Ram brand will take place with new models across the lineup and will eventually add the benefits of a midsize pickup truck that will compete with the current Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and upcoming Ford Ranger. Once this change takes place, all domestic brands will be back in the mix for the midsize pickups that we want to drive and experience out on the roads that we travel on a daily basis. Ram is growing and providing the profits needed by FCA and this brand is about to expand to be able to give us a few more great models to love when we drive.
