As expected, a year after we have a new Ram 1500 on the market we will see a new heavy-duty version of the truck to be the Ram 2500.
Ram was one of the first of the truck brands to bring us a brand new generation of the half-ton truck with a dynamic and incredible list of upgrades and improvements in nearly every area. What we expect to see for the bigger and stronger models is more of the same and the new Ram 2500 arrives.
The Ram 2500 Begins to Undress
Until recently, every time the Ram 2500 was spied on the roads during testing, it was covered in heavy camouflage which gave us nothing to reveal about what this new truck would be. All we could tell was that it was a truck, and that’s not anything new. Now, the team at FCA has taken off some of the covering and undressed the front of the truck to let us see what we can expect this new front to look like and what it might give us for the drive.
A New Front End Appearance from Ram
The new Ram 2500 will have a front fascia that features a grill that’s similar to the new Ram 1500. This grill does away with the old crosshair look in favor of a single bar style that will wear the Ram name in the middle. On either side of this grill will be wide headlights that are wrapped in chrome. This chrome also shows up at the top of the grill for an impressive look. The grill for the Ram 2500 is much taller than the one used for the 1500 model and it reaches above the headlights to give the truck a more imposing appearance.
Only one More Detail to Share
The rest of the Ram 2500 that was out testing and teasing us in its form of undress only showed off one more feature that we could make out. This new truck showed off the taillights, which will be the same as the ones used on the new Ram 1500 Tradesman model. This gives us the idea that the bed will share similarities with the smaller Ram as well, but we won’t know for sure until Ram is ready to unveil the entire truck for us to admire.
Waiting for More News on the Ram 2500
While we wait for more news regarding the new Ram 2500, we can admire the current Ram 1500 that can be purchased and used for the work and drive that you need. The new heavy-duty Ram 2500 will likely be revealed in the next few months at one of the many auto shows that we can enjoy.
