The Coupe at the Top

We’re following it closely as one of the largest and most luxurious sports coupes to make its way to the market. The newest addition at the top of the BMW lineup will be the 8 Series that is expected to make itself known when we enter the 2019 model year. Most recently we’ve seen this car on the track showing off the production bodywork. If you thought there would be a surprise in this part of the equation, think again, BMW has built its success with this style and continues to bring us what we want when it comes to this athletic and amazing lineup.

Even though the new flagship coupe from BMW will wear a similar style to the rest of the model lineup, the new 8 Series model is one that will give us more of the fun we want to have on the road. This is a car that’s been previewed in a variety of ways and will be fun to see as its tuned and used for some of the races during the 2018 calendar year and racing season. If this car is able to win a few checkered flags, the hype and the desire for this large coupe is only going to increase.

What, When, Where?

When the new BMW 8 Series shows up at the dealerships around the world this car will be offered with some of the M Performance aspects to make sure you can have an amazing drive on the road and the fun you want from behind the wheel. This car will have larger M wheels, blue M brake calipers, and larger brake rotors. The prototype of the M8 has already been fitted with a quad-tip exhaust setup, a deeper front splitter, and a more prominent rear diffuser.

The power for this incredible car will start with the inline six-cylinder engine lineup from BMW. The M8 will most likely have the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that pumps out 600 horsepower for the drive. While we don’t have the exact dates to tell us when this car will make its debut next year, it’s expected to be part of the 2019 model lineup from BMW to make sure we can have an amazing car to drive and a lot of fun out on the roads and tracks in our area.

Speaking of tracks; if you want to see this car in action, even though it will be wearing the racing garb and be one that’s out there challenging the rest of the cars at the track, there are some races you should put on your calendar. This car will be at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans and it will compete in a variety of races in the WEC and IMSA circuit. The car you’ll see will be the M8 GTE/GTLM racecar, but it will certainly give you an idea of what you can expect when you see what this car can do and want to put it to the test yourself.
